Hi there! And thanks for dropping into my site. I wonder what caught your eye? There’s a lot of very pretty things on the web these days, isn’t there? I’m assuming you have an interest in making your life happier and richer, in financial and emotional terms. Have you ever thought about the old saying, “money doesn’t make you happy”? It’s right of course, money ALONE will NOT make you happy. (A little later on this site I talk about what does make people happy, so read on). BUT, and this is the BIG ‘but’, money often purchases the things and experiences that do make us happy. “The best things in life are free!” Sure, the sunshine is free, love (mostly) is free, fresh air is free, clean water can be almost cost neutral (maybe not free, as such).. What else is there that’s ‘free’? Free advice can be poor advice. So, how do we reconcile this conflict? Let’s try some good old common-sense! The reality is that most of life is not free and many of the things we need in order to be happy (click on my what makes us happy? page for more. But do it later!) costs us, either in terms of our time, our money or some other currency. So, HOW do we find PROSPERITY and HAPPINESS if they’re almost mutually exclusive? We change the way we think about life. We acknowledge the things that make us happy and seek to find more of them. We look for whatever it is that gives our life MEANING and gives our life PLEASURE.
